4 day Private Mekong Delta Tour departing from Saigon

Day 1: Saigon – Cai Be – floating market – Home stay in Cai Be (Lunch, and dinner)
Mekong Delta Travel tour guide & driver pick you up at your address, 12:30, in Saigon, then star Mekong Tour to Cai Be with peaceful scenery along our drive.
You will arrive in Cai Be at an estimated arrival time at 14.30: On arrival in Cai Be, you will have a rest and check into the home stay. This afternoon you will walk along the villages or choose to cycle around the home stay village for local discovery and explore the area with fruit garden visit. In the evening, at 6:30 pm, you will go on a boat ride along the waterway to see the fire-flies and the peaceful of the river in the evening on the Mekong River! (If weather condition permit). After these peaceful evening activities, you will have a boat ride back to your home stay. You will have dinner at the host family and chat with them for further local hospitality.

Day 2: Cai Be – Vinh Long – Chau Doc (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
After breakfast, you start walking on the path along the river to see the daily life of the locals, ancient house dating 18 century, and visit the village market which is just held early in the morning for the so busy farmers to buy things for the day. The market is also a place where you can interact with and take photo of the locals.
You will then check out the home stay and go on a boat ride with welcome fresh coconut juice and cold tissues. Begin your Mekong tour of the day with visit to the Cai Be colorful floating market which is local daily needs in the area, cruising among local barges of fruits and vegetables. Then, you can choose optional visit at the local workshops where you can see rice’s paste, coconut candy and pop-rice, po-corn made or keep go to other islands activities.
A local delicious lunch will be served at an ancient house dating 18 century or under the shade of local orchards on the An Binh Island Vinh Long. After lunch, you will go on a rowing boat deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting into the waterways to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to witness their daily life and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta.
Another stop can be arranged at the nursery garden where you can get to know how to locals maintain a high-standard fruit trees. We will enjoy some seasonal fruits from their garden & homemade rice wine while listening to the traditional music performance. Your boat cruise will arrive in Vinh Long around 2.30 pm. Your a/c comfortable vehicle awaits you and keeps traveling to Chau Doc, one of well-known town with Vietnam catfish export world-while in Mekong Delta area. Check-in into the hotel on arrival. Have dinner at local restaurant. Stay overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 3: Chau Doc – Can Tho – Binh Thuy ancient house (Breakfast, Dinner)
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will then transfer to visit Tra Su Cajuput Forest in Tinh Bien district, locating 15km northeast of the Mekong River and 10km northwest of the Cambodia border.
We will take a sampan to small canals to visit the forest; you have chance to see many kinds of water birds (mostly stocks), colonies of bats and various rare animal and bird species.
Endowed with peace and tranquility, Tra Su forest will certainly become a unique and attractive attraction for travelers who love the natural beauty of Mekong Delta. Back to our a/c comfortable vehicle, you will then continue your journey to Can Tho City with visit at the Binh Thuy ancient house in Can Tho. Check-in the hotel on late afternoon. Take a rest, walking along the night market, have dinner at the local water front restaurant with local specialities. Stay overnight in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho – Cai Rang floating market – Saigon (Breakfast, Lunch)
Have breakfast at your hotel, walking to the pier and go on a boat ride on The Mighty Mekong River which is the longest and most prosperous in Asia, visit the famous floating market of Cai Rang, and Phong Dien where you can see the daily life of local business happening among their boats. After visit the floating markets in Can Tho, you will then go on the boat ride further into small waterway to visit the local fruit garden, local hospitality, and have some of the regional fruits, taste tropical fruits, green tea. We will then have our boat ride back to the pier, have refresh, check out our hotel, and have our a/c comfortable vehicle drive to Ho Chi Minh City and have lunch break at the local restaurant en-route. On arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta Travel guide and driver will transfer to your hotel and end services.
