Price: Contact UsDay 1 – Hanoi arrival
We will pick you up at airport then transfer to Twins hotel. The rest of day is at your leisure. We recommend you to take a slow walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, which is very scenic, so remember to bring your camera. In walking distance from your hotel, you can go to Thang Long theatre where you can enjoy traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Another option is to do some shopping; you will find plenty of shops in the old town as well as street night market. Should you wish to taste famous Vietnamese coffee, you will find many coffee shops in French style with a view to the lake. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2 – Hanoi city tour (B, L)
Our guide will pick you up at 8.30 am at hotel to start a full day city tour. We first head to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, a 1400 year-old temple, the oldest of the city and located near West Lake, offering a watery landscape, the pagoda is a very scenic attraction.
The next destination is the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you have chance to visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Uncle Ho’s House and the One-pillar pagoda – a very iconic temple in Vietnam.
Temple of Literature will be your next stop, here education and study is center point. After lunch at a local restaurant we start the afternoon tour at Museum of Ethnology. This museum is considered as one the finest museum in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. Apart from the comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed on the ground outside.
After the museum, we will explore Ngoc Son Temple (Temple of Jade Mountain) dedicated to Confucian and Taoist philosophers and the national hero Tran Hung Dao. The temple with its famous Huc Bridge is in the center of Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake.
Back to hotel for luggage collection and wait the guide come to transfer you to train station. Stay overnight on train.
Day 3 – Sapa trekking (Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van homestay) (B, L, D)
Pick up service at train station then transfer to Sapa town. After 1 hour transferring, stop a local restaurant for breakfast and relaxing. The guide will meet you around 9.00 am to join the tour. Walking from Sapa towards Muong Hoa valley where you will discover the wonderful scenery of Hoang Lien mountain ranges and meet Black H’mong tribes. Trek through terraced rice paddies and minority villages along the Muong Hoa River. We then cross the suspension bridge towards the Zay village, arriving at Ta Van, where we have dinner cooked on a wood fire enjoying the company and hospitality of Zay family and home stay overnight.
Day 4 – Sapa Trekking (Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan) (B, L, D)
Enjoy mountainous landscape with your sunrise coffee as well as a delicious breakfast before ready to trek through bamboo forests towards Giang Ta Chai waterfall. We then cross over a rattan suspension bridge and enter into Giang Ta Chai village which is inhabited by the Red Zao minorities. Here we will experience their daily life and cross over the Muong Hoa River up the mountain to visit Su Pan Village of the H’mong people. After that, stop for lunch at a local restaurant and wait the car transfer back to Sapa. Take a fresh shower and have dinner before heading to train station.
Day 5 – Hanoi – Halong (B, L, D)
We pick you up at train station and transfer you to Twins hotel for a short rest. After having breakfast at hotel we depart to Halong City. On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, check-in on Marguerite cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves where we have one hour for kayaking. We will be cruising between the many lime stones and set anchor at a beautiful spot. As the sun sets over the bay, dinner is served on board with fresh seafood, salads, and fruits. You have free time in evening to enjoy your night on boat. Overnight stay on boat with peaceful night time sound.
Day 6 – Halong – Hanoi (B, L)
The beautiful sunrise in Halong bay should never be missed, especially if you are into photography. The breaking of a new day could start with a Tai chi session (if you are keen on early morning exercise). Breakfast will be served on the boat around 7.30 am, you will then have time to enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards Halong City. Upon disembarkation, you will be transferred back to Hanoi. Trip ends.
